Staff were very helpful, and given our limited Hungarian, were able to assist us in English. The hotel is very handy for the centre of Keszthely, and also only a few minutes walk through the park to the Balaton shore. The restauarant was good, and the breakfast buffet also very pleasant.
The bedroom was very hot as there was no air conditioning (there was however a portable electric fan in the room). This is probably less of a problem for those used to hot climates.

The hotel offers free wifi and the staff at the reception are helpful and friendly. The central location allows for easy access to the main street and the lake, making it convenient for exploring the area. the restaurant serves delicious food with generous portions.
The parking garage is cramped and difficult to maneuver, making it challenging to park larger vehicles. noise from outside the hotel can be heard in the rooms, making it hard to get a good night's sleep.

The hotel was in a good location. A few minutes to get anywhere which cut down on travelling time. The hotel was very clean and the food was lovely. However, no matter how nice the hotel is, it it nothing without good staff. Hotel Bacchus has wonderful staff that made me feel very welcome and a part of the Bacchus family. Certainly I would recommend hotel Bacchus to anyone who asked. I stayed for two weeks and it was the most relaxed I have been on any of my travels. Hotel Bacchus? Brilliant!
I had to leave as my holiday was over!

I recently had a lovely stay at a hotel in Keszthely and I couldn't be happier with my choice. the location was fantastic, just a short walk from the main square and close to the train station. It made exploring the town incredibly convenient.
All in all, my experience at this hotel was very satisfactory.

Location was good, near to the main square, and in walking distance of both buses and railway station and most of the sights in the town. The receptionists were friendly and helpful within the limits of what was available. The cleaner/chambermaid did a good job. Breakfast staff helpful.
This hotel is living on its reputation and probably gets away with it as being one of the few hotels open post peak season (we were there mid September). We would rate this as a 2 star hotel. The room we had on 2nd floor was very tired and the bedding old with holes in the duvet covers, the under sheet envelope barely covered the mattress. Additional pillows were provided by the evening receptionist taking them from another room as there were none in housekeeping stock. The table provided in the room was about to lose a leg and the window mechanism was erratic. The bathroom functioned but the shower cubicle was small and the bin had lost its pedal to open it.We had booked a double room but the only one available was so small we could not get suitcases into it and walk around the bed so ended up in a larger twin bed room. The restaurant was very overrated - food average and we were ripped off on the wine - having selected a good vintage they then provided a very inferior new one (supposedly cheaper) and pretended not to understand English and tried to charge the same price. After a big row the price was reduced. Poor service also as the waiter then tried to avoid dealing with us after the initial wine delivery. This was supposed to be a flagship wine restaurant in the area!!!! We ate elsewhere the other 2 nights where we did get both good service and wine. Breakfast was in the same dingy cellar as the restaurant and not a good start to the day. Eggs only available on Sundays! We got the feeling that as we were neither staying for a week (we stayed 3 nights) nor German we got the poor cousins approach. Had there been an alternative/if we'd had a car we would have moved but much in the area was shut down post peak season. We would not recommend this hotel for more than an overnight stay, and the restaurant not at all since there are much better elsewhere in town/Heviz.

I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel, which I found to be great value for money. The staff were really friendly and the room was exceptionally clean. I loved the attention to detail, especially the beautiful flowers on the balcony. The WiFi was a bonus and worked perfectly throughout my stay. The hotel is located near the town center, making it easy to explore all the interesting bars and restaurants nearby. The breakfast included in the rate was fantastic, with a wide variety of options to choose from, including a fine coffee.
All was just perfect.

We had a wonderful stay at a charming hotel in a great location. The room was spotlessly clean and the balcony adorned with beautiful flowers. The complimentary WiFi was a bonus. We explored the town's bars and enjoyed the lively atmosphere. The local market days were a highlight, offering delicious food and fantastic wine. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxed and enjoyable break.

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the town, a quick walk from the main square and public transportation. the breakfast buffet is outstanding with a variety of options including hot dishes, cereals, and yogurts.
The rooms are outdated and could use some updating, especially the furniture and bedding. the air conditioning is outdated, and it can be challenging to adjust the temperature.

I recently stayed at Hotel Bacchus for a few nights and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was easy to find and provided a parking card, making it convenient for us to park just a short walk away. The room was spacious with a balcony and a fridge, and the bathroom was newly renovated and spotlessly clean. The location was perfect, just a stone's throw from the city center, and the staff at the reception were friendly and helpful, even offering to assist us with printing. The breakfast was delicious, and we also enjoyed a tasty dinner at the hotel. The staff overall were polite and made our stay enjoyable. Highly recommended.
100% Recommend this hotel.
